Through a series of research projects, Ink & Switch has been exploring how to build modern tools for thought. This work has led through stylus based computing, collaboration technologies and often includes an element of live programming. In this talk, we’ll review the work behind, examine how live programming intersects with thinking tools, how sometimes live programs can die, and consider the work still left ahead.
Peter van Hardenberg is the research director at Ink & Switch. Before joining the lab, Peter had a variety of industry roles including building production database services at Heroku and developing handheld video games. After a decade in San Francisco, he now lives in western Canada.
